Retro Cognition with replacement (TTTP7 Revisit ones own timeline + TTTP8 Revisit ones own ancestry)

Having not posted a time travel theory for a while I thought I would write a spin off. This theory revisits TTTP7 Revisit ones own timeline plus it talks about the possible next theory TTTP8 Revist ones own ancestry. But it should be noted this is not a time travel theory on its own. This is more of an ability someone could gain.

Ever had regrets that you wish you could change? What if you could go back or see the future mistakes your about to make?

Retro Cognition is the ability to remember or have some idea of recall of past events. My earlier post “Post-cognition or retrocognition” talked about this. But what if we could go back and then place ourselves back there? What if we could return and relive all the moments.

Like I said above this is not really a time travel theory because, the person may not really be time travelling. They may really just be getting precognition. The time traveller can travel but only back to the start of the memory gained from their post-cognition state.

So what is this theory about? Well an example is really required here so here it is, a man is aged 30 when he was 29 he broke up with his wife and lost his kids. He realises he can remember the last year or two in perfect detail. He tries to remember where it all started. Whist remembering it he then goes back to that time to when he was just 29. Where this differs from TTTP7 is that he now has full memory of the next year.

Why would this happen? Well we go into Parallel universes again and a reason for this happening is because the ability of post-cognition is rather close to precognition. The ability of precognition should not always be classed as precognition. If the access to precognitive thoughts is limited to a one time line and ends are a certain age. An example would be the guy in our earlier example; he would not have access to any events after he was 30 and would not know anything about the results of changes he makes.

So why does this have TTTP8 features? If the post-cognition memory span was capable of going farther than that of the life of the person with the ability, it may be possible for them to have access to the life and make changes to things before they was even born. There has to be some limitation to this ability such as which parent/grandparent is accessible and if they can take control over other people’s bodies is it part of another ability all together?

I can understand if this theory is hard to read and if I am honest I did not really want to post this theory. I do however have nothing else to post and I wanted to post something today.

A Christmas in Utopia

This theory is based in a world without money, without unemployment and without debt. The country will be called Utopia. Although the following is closer to a dystopia world, in this world no one has ever known any better. This means that the world is all they know. There are no other countries that they know of.

Utopia is very controlled country. There is no war, no hunger, no debt, no money and no unemployment. The government control employment, leisure, child birth, food, transport, religion and relationships. All people of Utopia are allocated supplies and a place to live. When a male in Utopia reaches 21 he is made available for women. When a woman in Utopia reaches 18 she is made available for men. The relationships are fixed no interracial or same sex relationships are allowed. When a male and a female feel they are compatible the female is to move in with the male and her property if her parents are not living there is made available for new people. The male and the female are then allowed to one successful child birth. By this the male is taken to a clinic where he is to donate semen and the woman is then impregnated with that semen. Only one child pre couple is allowed in built up parts of Utopia. In other parts of Utopia depending on certain factors such as IQ, the couple’s trade and the population where they are living, additional children may be allowed. If a woman falls pregnant without permission her child is aborted and DNA taken to determine the father, who is then charged with illegal intercourse.

Crime is very controlled if someone is charged with something they are moved to a prison county and taken away from their family. In the prison county there are no relationships and people are made to work harder than before. If people refuse or do not comply they are charged with failure to support the community and sent to death. The laws are very strict and freedom is limited in Utopia.

When someone is born they are schooled and educated in the ways of live in Utopia. They are controlled and not allowed to be free. When they reach 16 the males get 4 years forced work in the police forces. There is no army as there is only one country and there has never been a war. Women when they reach 16 will learn a trade suited best to them. Women are banned from working in the forces or gaining access to high jobs. A woman is likely to become a nurse or work producing clothing or child care. Some women who were unable to find a partner might be classed as worthless and forced to work as a servant. Women when pregnant were not allowed to work and when the child was born could only work during schooling times. Men after they left the police would be given the option to continue and stay in the police or begin to work as something else. In the police they would be educated in other trades to help them when they leave. The government would put people in jobs that they was best at.

But what about Christmas in Utopia how would Christmas be? Well there is no Christmas in Utopia. Quite simply in the world created there is no Jesus and as a result no Christmas day to celebrate his birthday. That does not mean there are not holidays just not the holidays that are present in our world.

So what would Christmas be like in this Utopia of world? Well let me explain how holidays work in Utopia. Considering the fact that a holiday would be like a massive day off for so many people, the world of Utopia does not have holidays as such. Birthdays are celebrated as a holiday for the birthday person. On a persons birthday in Utopia they are given the day off of work. This is the only time of the year they are given a day off without having to choose.

The birthday holiday is as close to Christmas as there is in Utopia. They do not celebrate New Years as to them there is no start or end of the year, other than their birthday. So the birthday holiday is both New Year and their birthday in one. The start of the year is the same as their date of birth. There is still days and months just nothing to say December is the last month. There is one problem which makes it unlike Christmas or New Years in that friends and family’s birthdates are likely to be different, and as such no holidays. Because pregnancy is regulated most people try to make sure their babies are born close to their parent’s birthdays. A normal birthday holiday is spent with family who ask for a day off. The day starts with another family member cooking for the birthday person. There is no alcohol as all substances that can cause impairment to a person’s ability to work are outlawed. So they eat a meal and enjoy the company around them. People wish them a happy new year as for the birthday person it is a new year. On their birthday they are given access to extra food and drinks to be able to entertain.

This was originally going to be part of a set of stories but in the end merged into one. I was tempted to call it “A Christmas in Dystopia” although I feel that this world would work. It would work because everyone would be under the control of the government. The government would have full power and the human or who ever race it has would work like machines. This means from a government point of view this is a utopian world. The problem is the people of this world would not really enjoy life much. I mean a world where everything required is given to you is not really the perfect world. People enjoy choice people enjoy the ability to say yes and say no. For a government to be able to tell what people can and cannot do is for the person to lose self choice. Personal choice to drink or buy more food, pick your job go on holiday. All these allow a person to experience the best of life. If the lives of everything is restricted to allow everyone equal life, there is no individuality. People should be allowed to choose their own path in life not follow a set example. Christmas is an example of a set event. People year after year enjoy Christmas not because they know the story but because everyone else does. This is proof enough that with choice people does not necessarily mean they will chose to cause problems. The choices in which someone causes problems or does not help society should not be forced but educated otherwise. Merry Christmas and the lesson hear if not very clear is to not preach your ways to others unless their ways are causing pain to others including you!

Ever had a memory and not known where it came from?

Ever had that feeling that you remember buying something or that you did something once, but don’t really remember doing it? What about remembering the actions of someone else when it was impossible for them to have done it? Where do these memories come from? Are they from dreams? Is it déjà vu?

What if you were seeing a memory from another world? What if you were seeing what another you were doing in another world? If this is true then what could you learn from this? If you really are seeing or accessing the memory of another version of yourself you need to be sure you really are. False memories are called confabulation and if it is truly possible for you to access the memories from another world there may be some use.

If every possibility is played out then knowing what other versions of you have done may be valuable. Think of the mistakes other versions of you may have made? What if you could remember those mistakes and ensure you do not do the same?

Let us have an example, a man goes into a shop and buys coke. On leaving the shop he opens the bottle of coke and then trips over and spills it all over himself. This is sticky and the man is in a rush so cannot get changed. If another version of this man could access the memory of spilling the coke then he could buy another drink such as water.

But this would only be possible with access to the future knowledge and not knowing the present. If this ability is possible surely only present actions would be viewable? Which would prevent accessing the mistakes of other versions? A simple answer to this question is, what would have happened if you were born a year earlier? Sure there would be changes such as different food being ate in pregnancy different birthdates different so many things that it would be near impossible for you to be completely the same till you went in a shop and bought water or coke. But if there was infinite number of parallel universes where everything is played out, then it is possible. The problem is more about how access to these memories is possible.

This is one way it could work. Every universe has neighbours such as neighbours of flats, so you can hear what is going on in the neighbour’s flats. Now the rule of this listening in is that you can only hear the thoughts/memories of your other self. If you managed to be lucky enough that a parallel universe with another you was right next to your universe, you may be able to listen in.

Having all these values right may be hard and gains are not very clear. This does not make it impossible but may make knowing the advantages hard. Just in future if you remember something that might have happened but did not. Do not just forget about it for it may be a memory from another world.

Dual or multiple time lines

This post is a theory I have had for a long time and featured it briefly in my journal I wrote for university.

We view time as a linear line. We see time as a process of something happening and the ability to know something having a start and an end. We view time as the morning the afternoon the evening the night. But what if the time was both the morning and the afternoon for the same person at the same moment?

Imagine that time is not just one line but more like a zig zag or river like. This would mean that there is not one thing happening at one time but lots of things. The birth of person could be happening at the same time as his first day at school, his wedding and his death. All these would be happening at the same time but just different parts of river. This is multiple time lines.

What about a dual time line? We understand and view time in a linear line. What if there was more than one thing happening. What if we had two view points in time? We could already have two view points and just not be aware of them. They might not be aware of each other.

Think about this, every moment has already happened. The moment where you are reading this is just one moment. One thinks it is linear only because when starting a new “moment block” one starts with the memory of the previous block. Therefore you see the world in a linear fashion. But just seeing the world in this fashion does not mean it is linear. Think of a grid of 16x16 “moment blocks” or “memory blocks”. All the moments could be put into the gird into any order. The result would not be out of order because each time a new moment is started the memory from the last one is blanked and at the start of the block it had the preceding information. Using this logic it may even be possible to say that nothing has ever happened and what is remembered is only remembered because it was told at the start of the block. This could even mean that the universe is just made up of moment blocks and they are in no order what so ever. Think about a movie the start the middle and the end. The movie is like one block and one view of that block. If there were lots of blocks all being viewed at the same time but by different people there would be no reason to think someone else is watching another block unless one knew about it.

So what could be gained from this? Well for one if we are viewing all points at the same time of our life, then if we can become aware of the other view points we can see into the future/past. If we are not viewing but living in a river timeline we may be able to, jump on the bank and back in the river, so to speak. This would enable one to travel into different moments. Just because we view time from one angle does not mean it is what we see. Viewing a three dimensional object from one angle can make it look two dimensional. Just because time looks linear does not mean it is.

December 6th Update

As I am sure you have noticed there was not a time travelling post last month. This was not only because I was too lazy to right one but because I am running out of ideas. The post “TTTP8 Revisit ones own ancestry” is still being worked on but the theory I feel is quite hard to understand. It is the ability to go back in time by taking place of your granddad etc. This theory was used in movie series Trancers and the game series Assassins Creed. That will be updated and posted some time this month.

The “Lesson in Time Travel” I have given up on. The story was script based so there was a lot of “said him” or “he replied”. This made the story very hard to write and was more like reading minutes than a story.

Lastly tomorrows post may again be later as I haven’t wrote anything for tomorrow yet. I am not getting ideas I feel are worth putting up. I also am getting tempted to revisit old theories and build on them. A lot of people though have asked me to talk about other peoples theories and build my own ideas on them. I plan to talk about some theories of other people it’s just they require a lot more research. I have to not only read their theories but understand them to the point where I can add my own ideas where I feel they was wrong.

Fourth Dimension

First dimension, forwards and backwards, second dimension, left and right, third dimension, up and down. But what about the fourth dimension? Is it time? Is there something else?
In a one dimensional world nothing can move left or right.
In a two dimensional world nothing can move up or down.
In a three dimensional world nothing can move….?
What would movement in the fourth dimension be? The fourth dimension to some people is considered time. Time is a movement that allows other movement. Without time movement in the other dimensions would not be possible. But what if there was another dimension of movement? Let us pretend time is the fifth dimension and the fourth is something else.
In a two dimensional world nothing can move up or down, so a three dimensional object would effetely disappear when moving up or down. Using this logic a four dimensional object would appear invisible when travelling in the forth dimension. The human body is three dimensions are we have eyes that can see two dimensions with depth to allow semi three dimensional sight. We cannot see all three dimensions, what if two dimensional objects can only see one dimensions. Using this logic we can presume that a four dimensional object with visual sight can see three dimensions.

Four one dimensional lines linked together form a two dimensional object as in a square. Six squares linked together form a three dimensional cube. Again using this logic what would happen if cubes formed together? The answer has been named on Wikipedia and Teamikaria. The answer on Wikipedia was Tesseract and means an eight cell cube. The answer on Teamikaria was a cubinder. Some of these shapes are pretty scary such as the Duocylinder when seen rotating. Is this because they are impossible or just impossible in our world?

Shadows from a two dimensional object are a line or a one dimensional object. Shadows from a three dimensional object are two dimensional. Again using this logic it would a safe to presume that a four dimensional object would project a three dimensional shadow.

All the above is just ideas to think about. What if there is another dimension and we just cannot see it or sense it. Our three dimensional objects cannot sense a fourth dimension because they just are not made to sense it. What if we learned to travel into the fourth dimension would we just disappear?

In my opinion the fourth dimension is the inside and outside. But of a fourth dimensional object. What if we could travel in and out of our world? Think of a line then give that line another line crossing into it. That line is not a cross. That is now two dimensions now move a line up and down from it. The line is now three dimensions. Now draw another line through the inside and out the other side. The result cannot be achieved. The idea is that if something could go inside and outside we could not see that object travelling inside or outside just know it had. I do not understand it myself and it is my opinion.

A theory of the beginning

This came to me over the last few years in bits and pieces and seems to fit together. I have always had some weird thought that knowing the past is one step towards knowing the future. That past cognition is as good as post cognition. The following is what I came up with over time.

In the beginning there was an end. Although seemingly impossible there was an end. The end was caused by man. The human race kept expanding and expanding in this universe. They discovered a way to create another world. The human race discovered a way to play god and to create a fully living world. The world and worlds they created had fully populated humans living and breathing. They discovered a way for them to go into these worlds. Out of the world they was god in the world they was just a normal person. The human race was able to move into these worlds at the time of the destruction of the universe. The problem with this was that if their universe ended the world they hid inside would also end. So they started to create another universe from within this world that they had created. This universe was created and that universe grew to become the one your in now. This universe is the universe that will end. The loop goes on and on and on. But if at the very start there is a universe about to end then surely like dominos they will all start to kill them all off? The answer is that it is what has caused this universe. For we will not create this universe we will create the reason and the cause. This universe started with a bang and the bang was caused by us and the end of last universe. We cannot create ourselves but our creation will create us.

So what does this mean and how is this possible. There are a few things that can cause problems. One is that for this theory to work time is looping and not linearly. If time is linearly and is looping then time is set. Time has a set line that will repeat forever. So what about religion? It is not to say religion is wrong as and religion is still possible. If changes are slightly made in this theory such as they managed to leave a message in the universe saying it was created and the messiah will take us to the new world. This story still works. What if we are the new world? What if we are where the prophet will take us? What if the savour of mankind is just a normal person and will create this world that we will go to. Is there a god? Well yes but god is anyone who creates the world.

What is reality? Reality is the loop. The meaning of life is to live in the loop and to make it work. Is there free will? There is free will but only to stay in the loop. For the end has been set as was the beginning but this does not mean the middle has been. Ever had that feeling you were hear before? Déjà vu is the feeling you have been here before. What if the reason for déjà vu is because you have lived this moment before? This theory explains the feeling of us not being in the real world as well as having past lives. What if we can change some things but unlimitedly everything is set. There are points in time that will forever happen, JFK getting shot or 9/11 etc. What if these moments are fixed but your life is not

Hearing Voices

I have never thought about hearing voices before and do not hear voices but some people are meant to be hearing them. The only people we hear about that hear voices are those that hear them and are called mad. What if the voices are telling us good things? I really don’t know much about people that hear voices but my understanding is that it is viewed as an auditory hallucination. The causes are normally put down to mental health and the person is given drugs to try and take away the voices.

What if there people who are hearing these voices but the voices are telling them good things? What if they are helping them out in their life? Why is no one admitting to hearing voices that are helping them? If there are people who are hearing voices and gaining from the ability there is the question of where do the voices come from?

There are lots of reasons why people could be hearing voices and here are just some. The voices are false or the voices are real. If the voices are false then they are likely to come from mental health problems. The causes in mental health are beyond point of this theory. What about the other causes? What if they are really hearing voices in their head?

If people really are hearing voices in their head, it needs to be explained as to why they are. Where are these voices coming from? Here are a few ideas, the mind has split into two and the voices they are hearing are their subconscious mind talking to them, or they are hearing voices of objects which have some how managed to get access to their mind, or the person is hearing peoples thoughts, or they are hearing their concise mind of someone in another universe.

If the conscious mind is hearing voices from the subconscious mind then why is it and for what purpose? Is the subconscious able to detect or sense stuff that the conscious mind cannot? If objects have some life force or some unknown present memory etc, could they be behind the voices that people hear? What if people are hearing other people’s thoughts? Could that be possible? Do the people know their thoughts are being heard?

What if people are gaining access to voices in another universe? What if the voices they hear are those of their conscious double? What if the voices are the start and can develop into visual sights into other worlds? If voices are the start and next they turn into windows to other worlds, could this mean that the anti psychotic drugs people take to get rid of the voices be bad? If it is possible to gain access to another universe is it really that easy? The reason may never been known but if you hear voices what do they say?

I should say that I do not recommend anyone stopping the use of anti psychotic drugs in the hope of gaining access to other words. Although asking a doctor if it is safe to come off anti psychotic drugs because you feel you can access other worlds if you do, may just get you more drugs…

Post-cognition or retrocognition

Staying with the subject extra human abilities that was talked about in “If humans could fly”, this theory talks about another ability. What if humans could see into the past! This of course is nothing to write about, humans have memory, humans can see the past and humans have been able to do this for a long time if not forever. So what makes this gift any good? Seeing into the future would be much better.

Seeing the future has problems which could cause paradoxes such as, if one saw their own death was going to happen in the house they currently lived in, they would move? If they moved they would not be in that house to die in and the precognitive image was wrong. It also relies on everything following some kind of set of actions.

So what is the use of post-cognition? Post-cognition has the ability to see what has happened. This is much larger than the memory of the person. This is the ability to be able to see past lives, the past of other people, and the past of objects and the past of locations.

This is not free of problems though, confabulation is the invention of memories in the mind. This is a leading problem science has with post-cognition. Confabulation is the inability to tell between genuine or false memories. Someone with apparent post-cognitive abilities may only be suffering from confabulated memories.

There are a few ways post-cognition could work some are more insane then others. Everything has memory, if everything in this world had memory of some sort then objects such as a pen would remember where it had been and who had used/made it. Location memory, if locations have memory such as rooms it might explain how people can know the way around a building they have never been to before. The last theory, multi-verse what if post-cognition would be available when another universe that was currently behind the current universe was close enough for one to peek into it. This would allow one to see the past or a past. The past that is seen may not be the real past of the current universe and as such may be viewed as confabulation.

If humans could fly

Now it is assumed that humans in this reality do not have what it takes to fly without the aid of some machine. But what if humans did have the ability to fly? What if humans could just jump up and fly away.

Humans do not have wings. Most things that can fly in nature has wings, even a lot of man made flying machines have wings. Humans not having wings do give some level of problem for humans flying. So how would humans fly if they do not have wings? In dreams and fiction humans can fly. Superman can fly and although not human does have the physical appearance of a human, i.e. no wings. However superman is alien which the ability of flight is not explained. Although there are theories to how superman can fly, such as, magic, supernatural ability, anti-gravitate and riding magnetic fields. The first theory magic, superman could be using some kind of magical power of levitation to fly, this would enable him to be able to fly as well as be able to walk and run. The second theory of supernatural ability would be very much like magic, in that he would have an ability to fly when he wanted to. Anti-gravitation cannot be the answer because there is no gravity in space and superman is seen flying in space. The last riding magnetic fields could be the answer but would be very much like the supernatural ability, in that he would have an ability to ride them. This does not really answer how superman can fly but has shown us ideas to how humans may be able to.

If humans could gain the ability to reverse gravity or create an upward fiction humans could fly. How this would happen is unknown but if humans could master gravity then they could fly at will. Let us assume humans gain the ability to fly and stop trying to explain how it could work. The truth is humans have not displayed any means of flying and science would say they cannot anyway.

So humans learn to fly, how fast can they go? G-force is the acceleration experienced when something goes fast. Humans appear to black out and can even die from g-force. This may not be a problem though; if humans can gain the ability to fly they may also gain the ability to reduce the fiction of the air around them and as such lower the g-force. If this is the case would it be fair to say the humans could fly very fast? There would not be any power needed or muscle movement and as such nothing to delay the travel. The whole earth is only around 25,000 miles around if humans could travel 5000 miles pre hour they could go around the globe in 4 hours. What about travelling even faster than that? I am not talking about the speed of light as that is very fast around 300,000,000 miles a second. But it is possible if humans can over come the two limits, flight and g force.

What about water? If a human is underwater a human uses their muscles to swim. If a human can fly it is safe to assume they can fly underwater and as such not need to use their muscles to swim. This would mean humans could move through water very quickly and fly out of it when required.

This theory is going to be listed under science fiction as although it is an interesting idea it is more likely not to happen. The idea of humans gaining more abilities is very interesting and has been featured in television shows such as the USA show Heroes. If humans could gain this ability what other abilities could humans gain? Precognition or even post-cognition, not that post-cognition would be of any real help but the ability to see what has happened would be an interesting ability. Flight is just one of many abilities humans could gain.

TTTP7 Revisit ones own timeline

This theory is very much like the last theory in that the events of the future are not set and can be changed.

This theory assumes one will be able to gain an ability to re enter past events and change their own actions. This theory is used in the movie series The Butterfly Effect. This theory in my opinion is the most damaging one and could cause the most stress and depression to the traveller. The traveller would most likely have a gift to re-enter past memories or a device of some sort to travel back in time in which the traveller would take over control of their past self. This does mean no one will be able to time travel to before they are born, or maybe they can but only just before as seen at the end of the director’s cut of The Butterfly Effect (2004). The traveller would most likely make a mistake the first time travelling and would not know about it till their return. Any changes to the ones past such as delaying an event little longer, such as the event that is most likely to happen when the future self takes a hold of the past self.

An example, a time traveller wants to relive his 18th birthday party. He goes back to when he was 18, the first moment when he takes control over his past self is likely to cause a delay or disturbance to his past self’s current actions. The past self is currently running a bath in the next room. The future self unaware (unless memory of current events is known) and takes control over his earlier self. Amazed by his actions the future self looks out the window thinks about the car his family used to have, the people who lived down his road, etc. All this time the bath is running and it overflows. Now that bath never overflowed and the damage was never done in the time line the future self was from. The events after the bath will also be delayed or will no longer happen. Maybe he was going to get a bus after his bath that does not happen anymore. All these problems cause more problems and those problems cause problems and so on. The point is, once a traveller travels back using this theory it is unlikely he will get back to the time he knew.

There are other possibilities though; the traveller may gain full memory of current actions when they time travel back, the traveller’s changes may not take effect or what is meant to happen is meant to happen and the changes the traveller makes only causes events to happen differently. If the traveller gains full memory of the actions he was currently doing at the time he takes control, he may just act out those events as they happened in the same way, with or without having the knowledge of the future. If the traveller can not make any changes or damage to the future then the traveller can have as much fun as they would like. Think about chances one would have, maybe they turned down a date with someone in school or maybe they missed the last words of their loved ones. They could just go back and relive it. More so would be the ability to relive ones own best moments of life.


On the other hand the changes one makes in the past might just cause events to change but most major effects stay. For example, a time traveller prevented his earlier self from meeting his future boss somewhere but this does not cause any major problems as he may just meet him somewhere else.

But there is one other possibility that we have not talked about, what if a time traveller goes back in time and causes changes that cause his life to end? This would in my opinion not cause a paradox as using this logic the time line is flexible. The traveller would just die having caused his death in an unknown time line. As the time traveller would be creating changes that effect everything the actions would be unknown. It would be the same as someone bumping someone in the street if that person had not bumped into that person the actions would be different. We do not know what would happen if those two people did not bump into each other only that they would not have bumped into each other. The actions that are played out that are caused by the traveller’s actions are just changes that could have happened. The actions may be very unlikely but still actions that could have happened.

A summary as this seems to be long. A time traveller can time travel to any point in his or her life, they are able to change the events of that time which may or may not cause ripple effects through time. The traveller is directly changing the time line and as such does not affect paradoxes. The example of going back in time and killing ones father before one is born is not valid because travellers can only re-enter their own time line. If a traveller causes their own death before they travelled, the traveller could just kill himself.

The next theory will use a similar logic as this one but is very much based around one’s family tree and how they could be connected. The next theory is called TTTP8 Revisit ones own ancestry.

The problem I feel with Philosophy

I feel that philosophy is less about theories and more about people and what they have wrote. I like philosophy because I like the idea of creating ideas that could work even if they are very unlikely. Science Fiction I don’t really feel like calling my theories. If I cannot call my theories science fiction then what do I call them? I thought just theories, till someone told me it was philosophy. Now when ever I talk to people about philosophy they bore me with loads of peoples names and then ask me if I read something by someone. At that point I am so bored by the amount of people and books I heard, I forget to ask them about any THEORIES FROM THESE PEOPLE!

So I thought I would look up philosophy courses. I found a few and one had listed that there was an exam. This is where my idea of philosophy changed. There are exams and most of the questions are religion based. Not just religion but religions that are far unheard of by me. Some examples, “Explain nature and types of Hetvabhas according to Nyaya” or “What is the Integral Yoga? Explain.” As seen these questions are boring and even Google struggles to answer the first one then tells me it is part of the Hindu philosophy. The second is a religion I had never heard of.

This makes philosophy very much like the history of philosophy, and LESS ABOUT philosophy. I was once told that theology is more about creating theories about what happened. This well is a little wrong theology is about creating theories on God, and religion. Theology is more religious studies as it is not solely about creating theories but researching other people’s theories.

So why is philosophy research and not thinking? There are three problems with thinking up random theories. If you get a theory that has already been thought up then people will say you are copying them. There are also other problems such as, how to you teach someone to tell you about a theory they have? Or how do you prevent copying. The answer really is you teach them something. If you teach something then you need something to teach. Therefore it is easier to teach philosophy then to just get everyone to think up random theories. There is also the need for history and research of philosophy. If people did not read about them the great philosophers would not be remembered. I do not think that is wrong but do feel people should be less tested on other peoples theories. I feel if someone wants to know about a theory then they will read about it. Telling people loads and loads about a theory that does not interest them is not helping. In other words, people should learn about similar theories.

Sorry for late post

Just to tell you I am working on a post. I had 2 ideas for this weeks post one was about invisible worlds and the other was what if nothing was out there and there is no such thing as god and everything is the Atheist world. But they seemed boring (the atheist one was depressing). Anyway I will post tomorrow early morning (before 6 am) a post on what I do not like about philosophy.

In case your wondering where the science fiction time travellers story is then Well I have given up. If anyone wants it just leave a comment.

The present is an illusion!

I was on the 281 bus to Kingston the other day. I didn’t have my headphones in which was unusual for me. I over heard a conversation with this girl talking to I think her boyfriend. She started off saying stuff like is there anything you have never told anyone before. The boy replied with something like “like what I have done or what?” or something. Well the girl started to say something she had never told anyone before (wrong place on a bus full of people…). She said “It is as if my life is nothing but an illusion created in the last few seconds before I am about to die and that all my memory is from my life”. What she said was very powerful! This theory is not new, I have heard and a friend of my mine has heard something comparable to it. The idea is in my opinion the memory we have in the present is an illusion. The memory we have in the past is real. There for the current events are not really happening only being created to change the reality of where we are. The fact that tomorrow I will remember writing this does not mean this theory is not true only that this is a larger present, or the memory of me writing this really happened.

To understand this theory we should brake up what memory is. Memory has short term and long term memory. Short term is reading this, and long term is what you did last night or weeks ago. For this theory what is in short term is an illusion and what is in long term memory is of real life. This means the current actions such as reading this and writing this for me, is an illusion and somewhere I and you are dying. This does also open up another theory such as this is the real life leading up to when we will die and when we die the moments before we will create an illusion. There is a theory that the whole of your life flashes before your eyes before you die. Both theories could be the same. The theory of your whole life flashing before your eyes means you would see everything as it was happening. There is nothing to say you couldn’t see this moment and think it is the present and the illusion is the thinking it is the present. This would mean that the memory of dying and the memory of future events are withheld. This would also explain how time flows so fast some times and slow other times. We are not living we are only remembering. This now has left the idea of the present being an illusion and a new idea that the present is the past. I said both these theories can be compactable and they can. The theory that both are the same is simple. The illusion is of the free will we feel we have. The ability that you feel you can stop reading any moment. This freewill feeling is the illusion. You can stop reading but tomorrow you will remember reading it and forget stopping of reading it. This is because the actions you do outside of the actions that have been set are forgotten and are just part of the illusion. It would be like having a memory deleted from your mind and a false one implemented into your mind. You wouldn’t know the difference.

These are only some of the problems to this/these theory/theories and tomorrow you will know the biggest problem. By that I mean you will remember reading this won’t you? That is of course unless you were meant to read it?

Meeting yourself

What if you met yourself? This theory is very much like the cloning problem I have talked about before. Let us say an example, you are sitting at home alone, you live on your own. You then hear there is someone coming through your front door. You rush to the door only to find yourself looking at yourself. The other version of you is as surprised as you are. What would happen next? Would you kick your copy out? What if your copy thinks you’re the copy? How would you convince that person that you’re the real you? More importantly, How would the other person convince you that your not the real you?

Would you cry and weep and say “I am me, you can’t be me”, or maybe fight and then chuck out the other person? Maybe you can sort this out like civilised people. In case your wounding this is not your twin in front of you, this is a complete copy. What would you do?

Well this is what I would do. I do not accept there is two of me. I am me and only me. Two there to be two of me there are now entities of me. Let me example. What I believe is that it is more likely that there cannot be two of the same person. As for them to be both the same person they would need to share a conscious mind. The fact they both look the same and share memories does not mean they are the same. But this is not the say they wasn’t the same. I.e. if it was one person that is now two people, then the person was not always two people. The person shares the same past, identity and memories but from when the copying happened would be a new person. There for all of the memories would be the same up to a certain point. After that point the mind would react to the current events and grow to form a different person. So to answer this problem of meeting yourself, you would not meet yourself just a version of you that had done something different. As to know who the rightful person is, well the answer is very hard. Both of you should just sit down and talk about it. Maybe it is possible to rejoin the two of you together and then the problem would be solved.

We briefly covered this but how would you react? Would you help yourself or fight yourself? Maybe just ignore them and hope they go away? What about if you went into a world where everyone was you? Everyone thought they had just arrived in the world. How would you know you were you and not one of the other million others!!! Would you be happy in a world of you? Are you a good person that it could work? This goes back to treating others how you would like to be treated yourself! Only in this theory you would be treating yourself how you treated others!! If the world was full of the person you are would the world work? If not maybe you can better yourself for the good.

The lost girl dream

This story came to me in a dream I had. None of these events happened and are all fictional. I have typed it in Dairy format as it felt as though it was in my dream.

11th of October, Today was upsetting. I was walking around in Twickenham near St Mary’s Church down Church Street, where I saw a young lady must have been around 18 maybe a little older. I saw her standing looking confused with dirt on her jeans and scratches on her arms. Holding tight her mobile phone turning around trying to work out where she is. There was people walking past and giving her unpleasant looks which make her even more confused and upset. I walked up to her and ask if she is alright. She turned to me and with a scared look on her face said “Yes, Yes I am alright thank you!” I walked away and sat down on a bench watching her. It was as if I felt I could help her. She started to walk towards the river so I followed her. She was standing near the water trying to wash her self off. I thought she might be okay now so I started to walk away. About an hour later after walking around for a bit, I saw her again. Still as confused as she was before but now a little cleaner. I walked up to her and asked her where she was going. She told me that she didn’t know where she was or where she was gong. She told me she was from Chertsey quite a distance from Twickenham.

We set off to Chertsey and on the way she told me how no one likes her. She felt not even her parents liked her and they would go away for weeks at a time leaving her home alone. She told me when she turned 18 her parents wanted her to leave. She gets kicked out of home for months and has to stay in squats. We talked all the way to Chertsey.

I asked her where in Chertsey she lived and she said she would show me. Then she stopped and wanted my number, so we swapped numbers. She then said she was home and wanted me to go home. I said I am more than happy to take her to her door. She then had some kind of panic attack and said no one likes her and everyone wants her to just die. I went to try and hold her to comfort her, when out of no where she pulled a gun and held it to my head. I quickly moved the gun away from my head and towards the floor and went to hold her. In the process the gun went of twice and I was shot twice in the stomach. Holding on to her still I could hear people running away and people calling the police. She was really upset and crying and saying everyone hates her. I tried to even still tell her no one hates her and it was an accident. She said the police would put her away for years. I now leaning on a lamppost went to try and hold her. She let me and I whispered into her ear “run, I won’t tell the police anything”. She looked as if she understood me but just pushed me to the floor, pulled the gun back out, put the gun in her mouth and before I could even say stop she had pulled the trigger and killed herself. A few moments later the police came and I noticed someone I knew in the crowd. Another young woman called Jo Jo. The ambulance came and started to see my wounds and I was taken to hospital.

After this I did have a little more such as talking to the police but I feel this is enough, hope you enjoyed my little story. I am still working on the time travel class room, but at the moment am very boring to read and nothing happens. But anyway hope you enjoyed this story. For a dream it was very vivid.

Another view on evolution

How I see it animals and live forms have changed over time adapted to their surroundings. Before evolution was thought up the world was said to be only 6000 years old. Every life form was said to be created by God and different to the rest. Till this guy called Charles Darwin found some fossils and noticed pigeons have changed over time. This does mean that things are changing, and I am not going to say otherwise. But the world could be 6000 years old. Just because mankind has found a way to put a age to something that cannot be proven to be that old purely because nothing has and no one has lived that long does not mean that it is that old. Science is only best guess and is proven wrong from time to time. We cannot for sure know how old something is the same way we do not know for sure a plastic bag takes 3000 years or what ever number of years to degrade, until 3000 years has happened. So how is this going to explain how the world could be 6000 years old? Read on and I hope it will come to you.

Relating to religion God is seen as the creator of this world. I see God as something we cannot really find a way to relate to. For if this world is something small that God can create God must be something special. Well not really. Just because this world and universe could have been created by God does not make God special. If God created the world why did God create it when God did and not before or after the time that God created it? The reason I feel is because, either God just created it at a random time (not very perfect), Gods role was to create this world or God had failed or was unhappy with other worlds God had created before. I prefer the last. God created a world where animals walked the earth and lived happy, but God was not happy with God’s creation. God scraped that idea and started again. God then using his old universe as an example created a new world; this world did not have all the animals as such that God felt God did not need. God was still not happy. It was then and I quote from the Bible “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” If God created man in his own image then God is something like humans. God is then unhappy with what God has created and instead of starting again, again works on what God just changes things again and lets it go on. After lots of changes man is looking almost perfect having spent millions of years correcting it. God then starts the creation one last time and allows man to live. 6000 years later... Charles Darwin discovers Gods failed creations and Gods mistakes, Darwin calls it evolution.

There are three things I am suggesting here, Evolution is Gods changes and not changes by the species, God is not perfect although may be a perfectionist, and is forever changing things, and God has failed before and may be failing right now. Which therefore means God has created an even more alike self image. Man kind is forever making mistakes and trying to make it better. Why does the Bible not tell this story and tell the story it tells? Would you want to know you may be another mistake?

Any link or am I going mad?

Today is Tuesday, Tuesday the 18th I got my eyebrow pierced. Today I was talking about metal detecting and I looked it up and thought I did not need to detect any metal and do not have any time for it. I then was thinking about something I heard on youtube and was thinking how we are ungrateful that this is earth and earth without humans or anything is still earth and is amazing. Then I got a phone call asking me out to a club. I wasn’t going to go but said oh I’ll go anyway and went up to change my shirt. It was then I thought I saw some yellow gunk at the bottom of my piercing so I thought oh crap it’s infected. I then took it out and noticed it was just a bit of skin or the light. As I went to put it back I couldn’t and dropped it in the skink I had already put the plug in as I thought I knew that would happen so tried again and dropped it again and it bounced and I never found it. Spent nearly an hour looking for it and found nothing. Now if the world is just the world and nothing special and all this is nothing then that’s understandable. The problem I have is for some reason I had the feeling the ball was in something whist sitting down. The fact it is metal and less than a hour before I was looking at metal detectors. I think I am finding nothing out of something but there could be a link and to what? Let’s entertain this madness for a moment, looking for something metal, am I meant to be looking out for something metal? Am I meant to get a metal detector? I am tired or going insane as I felt the answer to that question. It was like the thought of No was placed into my brain. I think I am going mad like really.

How would you know you are not a robot from the future?

This is science fiction isn’t it? Not possible? Okay let me explain. In the future there is very much likely to have robots. In the future they may have the ability to move the memory from one person to another person. In the future they may have the ability move the memory of a human into that of a robot. In the future they may have time travel. In the future someone may come back to kill someone important from the past. In the future we may have the ability to prevent such actions by creating a robot that is so alike to a human that even the human’s parents and lovers would not tell them apart.

Now think about this, a man who is going to discover a way to cure cancer and prolong live for a long time. This man is amazing this man dies knowing he has changed the world he has left behind. Years past and the changes he made live on. Human beings don’t die as fast and the world becomes too over populated. A team of time travellers go back in time and kill the man before he cures cancer. They view is that cancer is a good way of keeping the population down. The future knows of these actions and creates a copy of the young man. They fail to prevent the team of killers from killing the man, but do have enough time to copy all of the memories of the younger version of the man into this copy. The man would be unaware he is now a robot and his life would play out the same he would create a cure for cancer. The team of killers would travel back hoping to see a change only to be put into jail for time travel abuse and murder.

This is science fiction but is it? This is impossible but is it? They said walking on the moon was impossible they said building a flying machine was impossible they said the earth was flat but it wasn’t. Just because something seems impossible for us to do does not mean our descendants cannot do it!!

TTTP6 The future is not set so therefore can be changed freely

This theory assumes the future can be easily changed and the actions in the past reflect in the future. This means if a time traveller travels back in time any change he makes is reflected in the future. His own life is unaffected. This means if a time traveller goes back in time and causes events which would cause his reality and his time to be changed, he could effetely kill himself. The world does not have a set timeline and the line is variable. An example, a young man wants to go back in time to give his earlier self the lottery numbers. He goes back in time and meets himself. He then tells himself that he has the lottery numbers and gives them to him. His earlier self places the numbers and wins the lottery. The time traveller returns to his time and sees a version and reality of himself where he won the lottery. Because this version of himself would have no reason to go back in time he is not that person. Even if the other version of him did realise he would need to close the loop he would still not be that person. He has effectively killed himself. His time line has been removed and he is now an “extra” or copy.

Using this logic it would be safe to presume very little actions can cause the time travellers time line to be removed. But due to the actions not causing a paradox it would seem safer to time travel in this theory than some others. But here is another example; a female doctor wants to go back in time to see dinosaurs, she goes back in time and takes some photos using her camera. She then gets disturbed and drops her camera. The camera contains man made items which could be poisonous to the animals at that time. The woman may have also had a cold or illness that could have caused damage. These actions could be enough to change the course of time.

Basically every action the traveller does cause direct changes to the future he is from. The traveller could go back in time and kill his mother or father before he was born and returning to his time he would see the world as if he was never born. But now because time is not set and the time line has changed it is possible for him to fix it. He can go back in time and kill himself before he killed his mother and father without changing time or killing himself now. As for every change he makes is only reflected in the future. His life cannot be changed because he is the one that is causing the problems.

His life line has done and has seen and has been created he cannot change that. What he knows and what he is cannot be changed by time travel unless someone else changes it. He can go back in time one minute and kill his earlier self without changing anything. He would effectively create a copy of himself as he did not die one minute ago so he is still there. But there is still the body of the person who did die 1 minute ago.

The next theory uses the similar logic as this one but is very much based around each single person’s actions. The next theory is called TTTP7 Revisit ones own timeline.

Mind eye Lucid dream

Having read about mind eye on Wikipedia the ability to picture virtualised picture in one’s mind, I fell asleep thinking of walking around talking to people and talking about playing a first person shooting game but in my mind. This some how managed to pass into my dream. I was dreaming I was dreaming. This is the first time I have not had to realise I was dreaming to become lucid. I was walking around making people pop up out of no where. I then forgot I was dreaming and started walking around thinking I was talking to my mates and stuff. It was then I remembered that I had dreamt I was in the past and noticed I was still there. I was then in my house and had to go up stairs I then realised I was still dreaming as the stairs had carpet where as in reality they are just wooden. I then flew up the stairs and then out of my bedroom window. After flying around a bit I realised I was dreaming and have dreamt of flying before. It was then I thought what the people of the city would look like during my dream. I thought my brain can only invent so many faces and styles. Like in a computer game when the public start repeating. I flew down and started to walk around Twickenham. The public looked normal there were women with babies, women wearing dresses, women jogging. It was then I realised there was only women. I had created a world where there was little to no men.

There were a few men a friend of mine from ages ago, a guy I met the other day and few other people. There were no men I did not know. I had also created only good looking women. There were no young girls or old ladies just good looking 18 to 40 year old women. Allowing this to be read by all ages I will not go into detail but I could also talk and get the women to do pretty much anything I wanted. I then got bored and went home to see what my house looked like. Everything looked normal and acted normal my mum knocked on the door so I let her in and pretty much seem normal. I then had a false awakening and woke up on my sofa. I laid there to try to remember the dream I had and thought what an interesting dream. I then went over to the stairs and they were the normal wooden stairs and went to the toilet it was then I noticed I was not dressed. This was kind of weird as I felt like I was dressed when I woke up. This confusion caused me to wake up for real in my bed. I then laid there and tried to remember as much as I could before failing back to sleep.

What I feel makes this dream interesting is that I could create anything I wanted and could cause people in my dream to do the actions I wanted them to. From a young males point of view this dream could have some very amazing advantages seeing that in a dream it feels real. To me I still think the most amazing part of lucid dreams is the ability to fly and move things with my mind, both cannot be done in real life well maybe it is possible but not done yet.

Your other conscious self

Every felt sure you did not do something because you cannot remember it or that you cannot picture yourself having done it? Well I have not but I feel we are taking for granted our own memory. We use our own memory to relate current events to past events. What if we have move than one conscious mind and every action that other part of you does your main side cannot remember it. Think about this how much of yesterday can you remember? Sure you can remember most of it and unless the other side of you is just doing the boring stuff there is no need to worry. But what if this could become to grow and gain more control.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a story I am sure you are aware of. The story is of a doctor who takes a medicine that causes his bad side to take control over him. I have always been interested in the idea of taking something and experiencing another mind set. This I feel is not the same though and what I am talking about is taking something to completely change who you are. Your unconscious mind may be working in the back of your mind and learning stuff completely different to the way you are. A quote from a page on Wikipedia “Unconscious Mind” has “The conscious mind is hundreds of milliseconds behind the unconscious processes”. This does not mean that the unconscious mind has anything of control over the conscious mind but what I feel it does mean is that the unconscious mind can get away with stuff with out the conscious mind knowing. Let me give an example, the unconscious mind of a young male takes over and causes him pick up a pen. The next stage would be the mind analysing it and the conscious mind taking the blame.

But what if the unconscious mind could really take over? What if it could take over the memory of a person? Another example, a young male picks up a knife and stabs someone the unconscious mind then deletes the memory of that action. The male now unaware of what he has done would act completely different to a person who knew he had killed someone. The young male would even pass lie tests because he would believe he had not done it. This is a bit much but the point is clear. If the unconscious mind could take over the mind of the conscious mind there could be trouble.

One big argument would be that if the unconscious mind did take over there would be time gaps as well as not remembering where one person was. This cannot really be explained with out going a little more unbelievable, and saying that the unconscious mind could control the feelings of being unsure as well as removing memories. If the unconscious mind could invent memories it could be worse. Like having memories of committing crimes you did not do. It is clear this is a theory that is not easily believed but I feel given that it could be impossible to know it was happening to you shouldn’t that cause some thoughts about this?

Invisible worlds

This theory is a kind of like my earlier time travel into the future post but does not feature time travel. What if there are worlds around us that we are simply unable to see. This would mean maybe the reason for people to see ghosts is because they are in our world. What if this world is part of lots of worlds and by worlds? This theory assumes that the universe is like a crossroads with another universe going through it. There world cannot see us and we cannot see them.

The idea of it explaining ghosts is because maybe at some point we do see them or what looks like something. Another theory could be that earth is fixed and there are lots of different versions of life all living on it at the same time but in a different way. Such as an example which with this theory is very hard to make an example but here goes, we are living on earth is a world where humans rule, there are other worlds where other beings rule the world. They are all played out on our earth all at the same time, but we are unable to see them because of the way it works. Think of how a computer multitasks. Each window has different things happening but all running on the same computer. This is not the life on another planet; this is a theory where multiple possible worlds are played out all at the same time all in the same place. They just somehow do not know about each other. The reason we do not know about the other words relays solely in the design of the universe. This could also explain the lack of life on other planets due to there not needing to be live on other planets for the design of this universe to work.

This theory is very confusing even for me to write it and I am sorry if people do not understand it.

TTTF1 The copied traveller

In case you have forgotten TTTF1 = Time Travel Theory Future 1. This theory can work for travelling to the past as well but I feel it would be best to start travelling into the future.

This theory assumes everything is set and time travel was not meant to be possible but is. This theory assumes that if a traveller travels into the future he or she could see their own outcome but would be powerless to affect anything. This theory assumes that if a time traveller travels in time he or she will forever be lost. This is how it works, example, a time traveller wants to go into the future to get the lottery numbers, the traveller sets the machine to the following Saturday and sets off. The traveller to be careful not to bump into the future version makes sure to go somewhere they are unlikely to be. The traveller views the numbers and goes back to their time. The traveller then enters a world where there is two of the traveller, the other traveller being a copy of the earlier equal.

This is because time enters a dimension that is not available in this world. The traveller cannot enter this dimension and if he or she does they would disappear with out leaving any trace. This basically assumes the universe would not be able to cope with the loss of something to that dimension so it creates a copy or prevents it from happening. The fact it is successful does not matter, from everyone in the universe the traveller would just disappear. So to cope with the loss the universe creates a copy. So there are now two of the traveller one that is travelling and one that would just think it did not work.

So back to the example the traveller as now just seen that there is a copy or clone. The traveller would be more shocked to see the traveller believes that it is not possible to travel. He or she may even travel several times because of this. So the traveller tries to tell the copy when they realise they are only a clone and only able to see but not been seen or change anything forever stuck in time unable to change or effect anything. This theory is quite scary in that there may be loads of copies all stuck unable to do anything. The time travel would however be able to travel into the future and see possible solutions to their problem.

Now this theory does have holes such as if this traveller is now stuck he or she would be unable to touch anything and although people may be able to believe that, the fact of the floor is a issue such as, wear and tear of the floor, stairs etc. As well as not being able to eat or drink. One possible theory to solve this problem without changing the theory too much is that the traveller can move objects, eat, open doors, etc. This may even answer the theory of ghosts but that assumes someone as managed this already. Another theory would be that because this person would not truly exist his or her changes would not continue. If this is true then if a stuck traveller went to eat an apple the apple would be eaten but the apple would still exist where he or she picked it up, creating another copy. The same could go for doors if he or she opens a door the door would open but would still be closed to those in the unstuck world.

Another theory is that they would have “no clip” (a video game mode) where by the traveller could walk through walls and fly etc. If this is true then the problem of eating would still be present and they would have until they die of hunger.

This could mean that time travel would be seen as a failed attempt and no one would try it anymore. This does however mean all the failed attempts would create copies. The next theory of travelling into the future will be TTTF2 the disappearing traveller.

18th of September Update

I start University on Tuesday my second year. This means I will have less time to think of random things. This and that fact few and few people are viewing my site or at least telling me they are. I do not believe putting a view counter will be a good idea. I know that not many people view my site but seeing a small number every week may cause depression. I used to get opinions from a lot of people and now get the odd one or two. I know some people are waiting for my entry into science fiction and I feel I should provide an update for that. I find it very hard to write science fiction and stories I do not read. Therefore I am likely to have lots of gammier mistakes. Tonight however someone told me about a book called Moon People by Dale M. Courtney, the story is not important yet (I have ordered a copy), what most people will find about on the internet is how badly wrote the book is. This has changed my opinion on me writing science fiction. I believe now if I can think up something (I have started something) it does not matter how badly written as long as people can understand it. Before I had the opinion if it’s worth writing about it is worth writing well.

The science fiction story I have started is set in the future in a time when time travel is available for education. The story is more an example and talks about problems that people could face with time travel such as, going back and changing the past or going forward to get the lottery numbers. I have no date when I will release it and I hope I can finish it. At the moment it is only 347 words long and does require a lot more.

One other comment I did get though regarding time travel is I don’t know if you remember but when I started my time travel into the past theories which in case you haven’t noticed are released once a month, I said I would also talk about travel into the future. I was talking to someone about a theory the other day and feel it would be a good start. I will try and have the time travel into the future theory up before Monday so that it does not affect the normal Monday post.

Greek mythology

Having watched Troy (2004) staring Brad Pitt last night it occurred to me that current day are blanking out the Greek religion as just myths by calling it a mythology. I also thought why is it called mythology at all and not another religion? If we called Christianity a mythology because they believe and study myths around a book wrote ages ago people would not like it.

Having looked up the word mythology it “sometimes refers to the study of myths and sometimes refers to a body of myths” (Wikipedia). Then the more interesting quote that answered my question of why it is not classed as a religion “whereas Greek mythology is the body of myths from ancient Greece. The term ‘myth’ is often used colloquially to refer to a false story; however, the academic use of the term generally does not refer to truth or falsity.” So how I understand that is although mythology it sometimes used to study false or made up myths such as movie mythology. It is used in an academic use as the myths around Greece at that time.

But this still does mean one thing. This was a religion that predates Christianity and talks about a different God and Gods than most religions today. I then thought how did the Greek mythology fed away? I found another Wikipedia quote “The widespread adoption of Christianity did not curb the popularity of the myths. With the rediscovery of classical antiquity in the Renaissance, the poetry of Ovid became a major influence on the imagination of poets, dramatists, musicians and artists”. So when Christianity began it was already classed as myths. The date of Greek mythology again from Wikipedia dates “from c. 900-800 BC onward.” This means if the whole of Christianity did for some reason get wiped out and lost (nuclear war, virus outbreak etc), it could be classed as mythology of old mankind by the year 2800.

The mirror world

Ever looked into the mirror and seen your self and the room behind you and wondered if it was another world or just your own reflection? Maybe not but think about it like this, we look into the mirror and we see our own reflection a fraction of a second delayed. We believe it is our reflection we are seeing and not another world. But what if it was another world what if our actions are the same as another world but that world just has everything backwards? How do we know we are not the reflection our mirror image sees?

Short posts and other optional posts to come

I have been asked whether or not I would be willing to write science fictional stories. These would be kind of like large examples of my theories. At first I said no because I felt it would not fit the site but thinking of it longer I feel it may work. I have a few ideas and I am not sure whether or not I will write any purely because of the amount of time building a story would take me. I am going back to university soon so I don't know what level of work I would need to put in for that. I am also looking for extra work and possibly moving out and all this would cause delays.

I have been told by lots of people some of my theories are too long and take too long to read. The next theory that will be posted at 19:00 tonight will be a short one. This will be the first theory in a week.

Comments are allowed on the site but no one seems to use them. Also the people who talk to me on msn are people I already know. I would like to know if people who don't already know me are looking at my site.

Wireless Minds

Some of my earlier posts as well as the movie The Matrix talk about a simulated world. This theory is kind of the same but a way in which it could work. Our brain as much as science can work out does not see, hear, speak, move, etc. What it does do is send signals to different parts of the body for those parts to perform the actions. The eyes are in contact with the brain so it can see and the ears so it can hear. But the brain is not seeing and is not hearing. The brain is still just sending signals out. Using this logic it would be very easy to fool the brain. Just catch these signals and relay another message. Kind of like getting a letter that is meant for someone else opening it reading it and changing it and then resending it. The brain would not know anything was wrong. So it could be possible to relay every message that is meant for the brain. This would mean the brain would never know anything apart from what it has been told. Kind of like what it does now. How do you know you are really sitting there reading this? You know because you think are there and you can look around and relate to your surroundings.

What does this mean? This has a flaw for why would something do this? The Matrix (amazing movie watch it if you haven’t) tells us of a story about a whole race of human beings being kept to create power to power the machines. This means the whole human race is in The Matrix just to create power from the human body. This relies on science from this world applying to the next or last or what ever the world is. The idea of the human body has and is present in this world. There is no reason to expect the world where this world was created has the human body. There are of course reasons to expect it, such as examples or ideas but there is no reason why they could not have just made the human body in an older program and just improved on it. This is relating a lot to computers of our world but from can be done with the use of computers there are going to be some amazing things to come.

Why is this post called Wireless Minds? Well there is another theory which only came to me today. What if the reason we are not using the full power of our brains is because our brains are not really what is running our bodies. You can sit on a computer and work the computer and get it to do what you want it to do. That computer is following your orders. You can get up off that computer and go onto another computer. That computer now follows your orders. What if our body is being worked wirelessly by another being? What if we are being controlled wirelessly by some computer or even another kind of living form? The human race has very few if any enemies to be honest in my opinion the biggest enemy of the human race is the human race. War, fighting, greed, etc seems to be the biggest problems to the human race. We have managed to control pretty much the whole world.

Power can cause people to act differently; people who were once great could change themselves because they feel they are better. The human race has felt it was better than every other life form on this planet so although there are people who believe we are living with the animals they are only really living because we let them live. The human race has taken over a lot of this amazing creation of what we call earth and turned it into something mankind will enjoy living on. There are parts of the world mankind have barely touched but to go and see them will be to touch them.

What does all this have to do with a simulated world or wireless mind? Well if we look at what we have done with power we can see what someone else could have done with us. Having control over the whole human race and getting it to work perfectly would be boring. If we are all being controlled by something else, our bad actions, our war, our greed and our control could be their thought. Think of it as a game, you are given the power to create, brake or simply do anything you want. So you make the perfect world. The entire human race living perfectly supporting each other no problems in the world. How quickly till you get bored? Think about having the power to be able to change the world but seeing the world as only your play thing. You could play out anything you wanted. Why make the perfect world all the time when you could make a mess like we have? Maybe this world was made perfect but started going down hill and was left on to see what would happen. Only time will tell but what is likely to happen if this is a fake world it is likely to just be turned off.

TTTP5 Time recorder

This theory assumes mankind will have the technology to be able to record the events of the whole universe. This theory means that it is possible to create a machine that can record the variables of time and space. This machine would allow the user to go back in time or forward to recorded events. Access to unrecorded events would not be possible due to how this theory works.

An example, a man wants to go back in time to place bets on a horse that has just come first in a recent race. The time traveller uses the device to go back in time places the bet and depending on how the devices works returns to his time or just waits it out. Should the person meet himself however it is unknown what would happen? It could induce and would likely cause a paradox. If they one met ones self in a universe that does not support branching time lines it would cause some problems. The time one has spent talking to ones earlier self has created a problem because it may delay the earlier self from travelling. Also the lack of memory of meeting ones earlier self is also hard to explain. Without connecting onto the first theory TTTP1 everything is set it is hard to understand how this would work. One way it could be explained is that the memories are instantly created in ones own mind. They then remember meeting themselves and time is slightly changed.

Hawking’s theory of no tourists from the future is valid here because no such device exists yet. But how the world could exist with a device like this is unknown. It is unlikely to be allowed to be used for tourists due to the amount of paradoxes it could and would cause.

There are two possibilities on how the device would work. One would be it just records time and one can view it. Or one would be as talked above a way to an earlier re-enter time. The latter is of course more extreme in terms of technology. If the device only allows the person to view the recorded events then it would be like a massive Closed-circuit television (CCTV) system. It would be able to monitor everything and could be extremely valuable for law enforcements. But like TTTP4 Time travel is unnoticeable this would cause problems to privacy.

This theory has a number of holes which are clearly seen. It has no way of preventing paradoxes unless the viewer is viewable and would require technology on a seeming impossible scale. It may be possible or may not be but the truth is it could well be the end of the universe if it is. If this is a simulated world it could lead to accessing the real world and be using some power from it. Think about this for a second if this is a simulated world and all the actions are recordable then if somehow mankind or even aliens managed to access the record button and the play button it could work. It may not even be known it is a simulated world at that point science is after all best guessed. The best guess may be that mankind invited a way of recording everything where in reality they are just accessing power from another reality. The next theory will be TTTP6 The future is not set so therefore can be changed freely.

A recurring time

For everything to be set in our time line would flow in one direction. What if time was going in a loop and all events had already happened and that everything was going around and around in a big loop. All the events we have done or are going to do have already happened. Maybe the universe has already ended and the big bang was the end of the universe not the start. We would be unaware of anything and believe we are in control only to be living the path we were meant to do. This is very similar to fatalism in that we are unable to change anything. If everything is just following out the path in which it is set we might not be able to do anything about it.

But what if it changes slightly? What if everything is set and it is following a loop in which will lead to the end of the universe, but is allowing some change a long the away. An example would be a route to work, one can go down street A that links to street C to get to work or go down street B which also leads to street C. If it does allow some very little changes what could one do about it? If you feel your life is following a set route and that everything you do seems the same, you could change what you do with your day to day life. But of course one does not know whether or not the changes are that of what is free will or that of what was meant to happen.

If time is meant to just restart at the end of time, what if it doesn’t loop but rather rewind and then play again. This would see time running backwards. During backwards running time no one could remember anything as it would be replayed and removed as it is happening. As memory is seen to work by only forward running time maybe time running backwards is a way to remove those memories. Which could be why no one can remember it?

What about Déjà vu? If everyone is living the live they lived before then maybe some of it could be remembered. This could explain Déjà vu and may also explain memories of past lives. Whether time is looping or rewinding and starting again. It may be impossible to know this. If someone could remember their whole live this could lead to them cheating death, accidents etc. Next time you get déjà vu try to think long and hard have I been here before?

One update a week

I know I said I would update the site twice a week and at the start it was nearly daily. I have failed to have ideas for this blog lately. Normally during day to day tasks I would get an idea and put it into my phone to write about later. This has failed to happen lately I just don’t get any ideas. That and the fact I am going back to University soon I feel 2 updates may be hard to keep up with. I am sorry and I will try to do two updates until the end of the month. The day of updates will likely be a Monday as I feel it is a good start of the week.

The cloned human Theory

A while ago I talked about a cloned earth theory I had. Someone asked me about that theory the other day and got it completely wrong. So this is based on the cloned earth theory but easier to understand in my opinion.

Imagine a time when the human race has reached a technological age where they can clone matter in seconds. A doctor has planning to be the first cloned person in the world. He goes into his machine and a few moments two of the same doctor comes out. Now here is the problem. Both doctors have the same memories up to when they entered the machine and both doctors believe they are the original doctor. Yet one doctor has just been created. If they are a complete match on the matter level then they cannot tell each other apart.

This is a problem that has already been used in a movie called The 6th Day.
Spoilers for those who have not seen the movie are below. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character Adam Gibson is cloned and believes he is the real Adam Gibson. He goes home to see what he believes to be a clone with his family. Later in the movie he realises that he is in fact the clone himself. The problem is not really the same but one can understand how it could be hard to tell one was a clone.

The cloned earth theory takes it one step further and asks how we would know if we were real if the whole world was cloned. The problem here is simple now I feel. The problem is unless there are any signs to tell them they are the clone such as behind the eyelid in The 6th Day. There is no way to tell. If it is in fact a true copy they would never know they were a copy because they would have all their own memories.

This theory can be taken further and could do a cloned universe. Think about if the whole universe was like a document on a computer. If you copy that document and rename it to the same as the old one, you have no way of knowing if you did not remember doing it that it is a copy. Nor would it matter if you did as it was a complete copy. But in the terms of a human being cloned if there is no way of knowing the difference it could create some problems.

This reality is just a dream

This came to me in a dream and I cannot remember it very well but here goes anyway. We are dreaming now but in a group dream. When we dream at night we are inventing a world within our own mind. When we are in so called reality we are dreaming within a group. Everyone in this dream is unaware they are dreaming and those that become aware tend to want to die or will die soon. This did not scare me seeing that the knowledge would lead to my death.

The above is from my dream this is what I think about it. The idea of us having a group dream is very much like The Matrix with out the machines creating the world. This theory assumes that because in the real world we are all sleeping or something like that. We are all just dreaming and our minds are so how linked in the real world and this is causing us to be able to have a group dream. The knowledge causing death might mean that if we do really believe we are dreaming to the point that we start remembering the real world we may have access to abilities we would not normally have such as lucid dreaming. This may mean that we would kill ourselves because we become aware that if we die we just wake up or we cause more problems in the world which in turn causes people to kill us such as agents in The Matrix.



What does this mean? Well if one believes it enough they may be able to act like neo from The Matrix or be able to do miracles and such. Or they may just remember that on death they are going to the real world. This could mean some people who have committed suicide have believed this. Only research into people’s thoughts before suicide could prove this. Also if one does believe they are in a dream they might take risks and cause their death which again could only be known by research into people before their death. As for the miracles well there have been people in history that have done so called miracles that have just been denied and forgotten. Using this logic Jesus may have been someone who knew the truth.

Really what this means is nothing because if we are dreaming there is not much we can do about it. There would be people flying around if it was as easy to just believe this. But if there are really people protecting the truth such as agents etc. Anyone attempting to use this knowledge may be killed or something happen to them. That or they just get sectioned.

Flying Lucid Dream

I have not had any lucid dreams since the dreams I have documented this lucid dream happened on Saturday morning.

I was sitting in my living room on a new laptop that had bought and I was ordering some stuff from the internet. My brother’s mate was there and then my brother. My brother added stuff to the order with out my permission some sweets and stuff. I was annoyed at him. Then all of the stuff arrived which is kind of weird as I had just ordered it and it was around 7 pm. I then took all of the stuff and my brother told me that it was his. I replied I paid for it so it is mine. He then complained saying I would not have it if he had not ordered it. I told him that I paid for it and it started an argument. This is rare as I do not talk to my brother in real life. I then realised it was a dream and thought it was a good time to tell him about all the other things I did not like about him. He just lay on the floor and listened. I then walked into the kitchen and as it was a lucid dream I thought I would have some fun. I opened the backdoor and just jumped and started to fly around London. I was flying for what seemed like hours and was in quite a bit of control and thinking whist I was flying around. I thought about flying to America and seeing my ex girlfriend but decided it was too far to go. Which in light of it being a dream distance is rather pointless? I thought about seeing some people I had not seen in a while but decided to just enjoy the sights of the darkness and lights are night over London. I was then woken up and spent some time laying in bed trying to remember it for this post.

Sorry for late update

I have not been feeling myself lately and feeling quite depressed and when writing something whist depressed it tends to lead to there is no point in living etc. Most have what I have thought of writing is about what I felt was wrong with the world and how I feel the government do not give us personal choice. Such as we can walk down the road having lots of poisonous plants and it is legal but if we happen to have a cannabis plant it would then be a drug crime. Even though if we had loads of deadly nightshade or death cap mushrooms we could cause more damage then a little cannabis smoke, it would still be viewed as a drug crime. Also how although we are meant to have freedom we cannot do a lot of stuff. Lots of crap so didn’t feel it was worth posting. I will post something soon including a lucid dream I had.

Been low and feeling ill

To understand a low you ideally should experience a low. Although never knowing what it is like to feel low is a feeling some would say is great, there are others who would say it is a missed experience. I have been feeling down recently and as I type this feel quite ill. I had something for Thursday I had started but never posted it. I was going to write something for today but could not think of something worth it. This is why I write this little update. We get so easily used to the pleasures in our lives that we can sometimes forget we should respect them. Friendship, love, life in general or what ever you can think is most important to you may not truly be important or known till it has gone.

To just fit in some people are willing to take risks they would not normally do. I took a risk and others around me did the same. Those risks we do can cause problems. I experienced something I had not for a long time a feeling of being needed. I exploited that and took risks that I felt were wrong. It is so easy to contradict ones own beliefs if feels good. Peer pressure, so easy to give in to because being around peers feels good. I changed some of my own strong beliefs because I wanted to fit in. I enjoyed it and now miss it. It is a wonder what peer pressure has caused to people around the world. What are people willing to do to fit in? I have been a sucker for peer pressure as I have always felt I did not belong. This can cause people to take advantage of me or gain from my actions. There are still some rules but I figure it will not last long so does not matter. Although I was right it did not last very long I am annoyed it ended like this. Let us leave it at that.
