The inter-network of the human race and the delay

In computer games there is a slight delay between the pressing of the button and action on the screen. There is still even a delay on the human body, when the brain tells the fingers to type or the eyes read, and there is a slight delay. This delay we know about but what if there was another delay? Charles Darwin said that all life on this world is related. We are all related to one another and yet each so unique. An earlier post of my related to wireless minds in that we are all controlled wirelessly, and this post will build on that.

Consider the internet as lots of computer inter-networked together to form the internet. Each computer has its own IP address and each IP address can be sub networked to allow more than one computer to work on the same network. Much like how a most homes have two computers and both can be online at the same time. They are likely to use a router and both have the same IP address. People can upgrade their computers and change components allow friends on their network etc. Now consider that the human race is the same. The human race is a group of computers inter-networked together. If a person has a child then that child is added to the network. If someone dies they leave the network. Each computer has memory to allow it to remember its relations to past events, and use it to help calculate how to handle current tasks. Much like how a human brain works.

So what has delay in computer games and computer networking got to do with anything? What if there this delay could be come larger or shorter? In networking it is called latency which is the delay between devices on a network. There is very little delay between devices on a computer which is limited by the speed of the motherboard bus speed. The brain calculates tasks much faster than any computers today, but still has to process these tasks. This processing means there is a delay. If going back to my previous post about wireless minds as well as how Darwin said we all related. If the human race is some how linked together, then there surely would be a delay.

Let us consider that all humans are inter-networked what could possibly be gained? The Internet allows entertainment, education, news and business possibilities. What are the gains of all humans linked together? The answer is maybe not as clear because we are only thinking of humans being linked together. What if every life form on the planet was linked together? We can commutate by sound and visions so why not by some other link? For computers to talk to one another a protocol is required for humans to commutate with one another and other life forms a protocol may be required.

I have a typing speed of only 70 words pre minute which is much slower than people who use computers less than I do. It was this that helped me come up with this theory. I thought what if everything we do is being delayed and the ones with the fast connections can do things faster than the ones without. Think of the possibilities if we could learn a protocol talk commutate without talking to not only humans!

Confabulation to prevent the truth

Consider if you will that this would that you a living in is not real. Various movies and theories have talked about this world not being all that there is. Even Plato in his cave analogy talked about what we see and experience only being part of what is really happening. But this theory is not the simulated world theory. This theory is an argument given what could happen and the mistakes that could be noticed there should be a way of cleaning it up.

Have you ever done something that someone else knows about but you wish they would just forget? Think about it in a larger scale what if the world had errors and mistakes. What if people could remember those errors and mistakes? Think in terms of computer games when a mistake or a problem is detected, the game company makes a patch or fix. This fixes the problem. Any new gamers would never see that error. But old gamers and new gamers that talk would learn about the mistakes. What about features that was once present but then removed? If the game is making constant mistakes then the game is not very convincing. Getting back to our reality if people became aware of that lack of this world and gained real prove that something else existed, then the reality around us would fall apart. We have the ability to learn and we have the ability to learn that this is not real. What if the mistakes and past features have been removed but are still very much happened. Consider this, humans had the ability to cast spells and magic, this was becoming a problem as humans could cause real damage to the reality around them. This feature was removed and all memory that was associated with it was changed or deleted. Books written about magic were re-classed as fiction, and people who managed to still believe were classed as crazy.

Whole lives could be changed and no one would ever know. The student theory, a student is very bad at exams and never reads or revises, having the ability to confabulate own memories. The student makes fake memories of having always read a book before an exam. When an exam is near the student will always remember reading a whole book before the exam and will relate to it being normal. The student will read a whole book before the exam. This could cause some problems. Such as if the student could not read very well could whole knowledge of reading be invented? What about how long before the exam should the student start reading? These problems would have to be ironed out. The student may become aware of certain problems with own memory. But what if the student could kind of remember what if the student could gain access to the real memories where no books were read? This new student would not be so perfect anymore.

If there are ways of accessing forgotten memories or becoming aware of this process then how could it be done? If something seems wrong then try hard to remember the last time it happened. Write down and make notes any aid to memory should work. But to gain access to this process will likely require some other ability. But if the world around you is not convincing enough to make you believe it is real, is it real? If it is then why is it not convincing?

A right to die

This post I have wanted to write for a long time. The reasons behind why I did not will become clear to you. Where my argument differs with most is that I have included depression as a reason for euthanasia. This is not meant to mean people who are simply feeling down, but more about people who are feeling down for months and have tried to work out their problems.

Imagine a world where if one is ill, disabled, too old, or simply living a life not worth living. They could go and sign up to be humanely put to death. Euthanasia, the act of killing someone or oneself painlessly, is a hard idea to debate. Should anyone who does not want to live be forced to live? Should they be forced to die in a painful way if they are ill? Should they be forced to have to result in painful unrehearsed ways of killing their self? By making euthanasia illegal and giving no one a way out of their troubled unwanted life. What ever the reasons surely they should be considered? What about people dying and thermally ill? Those people are not even allowed to end their own life. The only option they have is to ask not to be resuscitated if they do die.

Who chooses who can die and who can’t? If it was as easy as to go into a suicide booth and pay a fee or even for free, there would be a lot of people rushing into it. There would be young men/women who have broken up with their loved ones, or have lost people important to them. There may even be people who are simply bored and fancy trying it out. Whatever the reason that people have there should be a way of preventing people who could have their problems solved.

Sign up to die, suppose of a register that people who are ill get put up closer to the top than people who simply want to die because their dog has died. People who wish to end their life would put their name down and upon doing so would have to talk to a counsellor and part take in therapy. At times whist on the waiting list there would be check ups. Should the person wish to no longer kill themselves then they will be removed from the list. Should the feelings come back they would return to their place in the list. This is to prevent people saying on the list simply because they do not wish to start the process again. There should however be a minimum time spent on the list. Someone who wishes to stay alive on the day they would have been killed. They should have to go back slightly on the list. The problem is the list should not be too long or people would simply not bother with it at all. All people on that list should be added to the organ donor list to ensure their death is a help to others.

Currently there are a large amount of people who choose to commit suicide and end up doing it in painful and distressing ways. Hanging, this if done wrong can leave a person in pain for over 20 minutes, or even can cause the person to become decapitated. Slitting the wrists, this is painful, messy and not always successful. This can sometimes leave the person with ugly scars which will forever remind them and others of their failure to take their own life. Drowning, this is painful, not always successful.
These are just some of the ways people choose to kill themselves and we have not even talked about the ways where they could endanger others such as driving or gun related suicides. Should someone who has wanted to commit suicide for a long time really be given no nice option?

I did have more to write but feel this enough and welcome the unfriendly comments on their post. Below is a quote and some links for further reading.

Quote from Wikipedia “The closest thing to a suicide booth to have been actually constructed is the "Euthanasia Machine" invented by Philip Nitschke, consisting of software titled "Deliverance", which asks the patient a series of questions, and automatically administers a lethal injection if the correct answers are made. The system and questions are so constructed that the supplier of the machine cannot be held responsible for ending the life of the patient, who takes responsibility by operating it.

No post this week

Due to snow there will be no post this week!

Joking, well I am and I am not. There will not be any post this week apart from this one. I have work for college to do and like all good students have left it up until the last minute!

Sorry!

EDIT: I decided to post something I have wanted to write for ages anyway. I was feeling depressed and given the nature of what was wrote it is easier to write something like that when depressed. I also had this post called "no post this weed" so needed to edit this. In case you are wondering why I am depressed it is because of some work I failed to do for uni so nothing major but depressing all the same.

What makes you who you are?

Would you still be you if you could not remember anything? What is it that makes you who you are? If a bad man loses his memory does he forget to be a bad man? If a good man loses his memory does he forget to be a good man?

If a lot of what we do is related to what we have done, then surely if we cannot remember doing anything, we cannot relate to anything. It would then be easy to presume that one would not be able to know what to do.

What makes us what we are? When we see a gun we relate to it being a weapon. So if we did not remember what a gun was we would not be able to relate the fear required for it. The same could go for people we would not know who is our friend or who is our enemy. But does this mean someone with amnesia can completely change who they are or just who they are in relation to other things?

What causes someone to be good or bad? Is it upbringing? Is it genetic? If it is upbringing then if amnesia can remove all memories of upbringing would a bad person turn good?

On a side note though, I think it is amazing though that in movies when people have amnesia they still remember how to talk English and walk etc. This is likely due to them remembering basic things just not anything else.
